We are pleased to announce that the UK pilot phase of the trial has been a success!
In November 2025, we submitted our end of pilot phase report to the funder, and received confirmation that they are happy for us to continue through to the main trial.
In the UK, we reached 209 randomisations within the pilot phase, which was only 11 away from our green traffic-light target! Needless to say this was enough for us to pass through with flying colours, given that we also opened more than enough participating hospitals to continue.
Our hospitals continue to deliver on recruitment, as we have now passed the exciting milestone of 250 randomisations – that’s one quarter of our UK overall target.
Going into 2026 we hope to continue this success are we’re excited to see what the New Year will bring. We may also be looking to open a small number of new sites.
